Higher line rates, greater cost control and limited production space are key reasons why you should consider using a GARVENS Multi-Lane Checkweigher system in your production lines. The GARVENS Multi-Lane Checkweigher system includes an inspiring array of special software features and additional extras specifically designed to increase your production, save costly overfill and reduce downtime.

Reduction in waste and greater cost control

In the past lane combiners were employed to save initial investment costs merging multiple production lanes onto a single checkweigher. While this may have reduced equipment costs it created potential production bottlenecks including timing and spacing problems which complicates installations, causes downtime and slows production. Multi-lane systems control costs through simplified integration and maintenance of high production rates while increasing the weighing time for each product which improves weighing accuracies allowing tighter tolerances, reduction in waste and greater cost control.

Less downtime means more productive and profitable operation

The multi-lane checkweigher system is designed to weigh the same product over multiple lanes with identical tolerances and rates. The elimination of redundant user interfaces allows closer lane spacing creating a machine with a smaller overall footprint saving valuable factory floor space, while reducing installation time and costs.

Multi-lane checkweighers ensure production security, enabling continued production even if one of the lanes must be stopped for maintenance or gets obstructed negating the need to stop the entire production line. Less downtime means more productive and profitable operation.

Minimize your critical control points

Capture of vital production data and statistics for each individual lane and composite total information on the entire system drives increased line efficiencies. Information integrates conveniently to factory floor automation systems and business information networks enabling users to gain the most from their checkweighing investment.

Service and maintenance costs are automatically reduced with the weighing burden being spread over the multiple lanes, reducing wear and tear significantly. Having just one terminal to maintain and operate means that routine inspections are completed in a fraction of the time and the controlling of your checkweigher as a critical control point is made simple and fast, enabling you to minimize downtime and utilize your manpower more effectively.

Increasing Line Efficiency

The single user interface provides at-a-glance monitoring of system performance, no need to look at multiple displays which can be confusing. Detailed information on each lane is controlled with a special QuickTouch multi-lane navigation button and changeovers are quick and simple saving time and minimizing downtime.

Software Features:

Contingency Lane Stop: Each lane and each motor can be individually stopped and started at the push of a button. This function allows critical service and repair operations to be made without stopping the complete production line.

Feedback Control: Each lane weigh cell is able to communicate directly with the filling station responsible for the products in its lane (for example if a fill nozzle is blocked) enabling a very flexible and extremely efficient control on product weights minimizing costly overfill and product rejections.

QuickTouch navigation Buttons: Simple quick touch buttons enable your personnel to quickly and efficiently check the production and data information of each lane individually or as a total of all lanes together.

TU1 Master: Using the TU1 Master function you obtain a mean TU1% figure across all lanes. The aim of this function is, staying in-line with national regulations, to keep the amount of TU1% product rejections to an absolute minimum.
